Egret celebrated our 20th year this month. 20 years is a remarkable achievement for any business; according to the SBA, 66% of all new businesses fail within 10 years (50% within 5 years). In our 20-year history we’ve had plenty of opportunities to fail: 3 recessions, including 9/11 that took our business to ZERO for several months. So, what has been our secret sauce to success? We care.
In 20 years, we’ve recruited for 100’s of companies, using the same disciplined approach for each of those assignments. In every case, we’ve respected our clients and our candidates and treated both sides as professionally as possible; with integrity, honesty and openness.
In 20 years the industry has changed dramatically: we’ve changed an entire generation of leaders, technology has permanently altered the product landscape and the communications process has changed from desk phones and fax, to cell phones and social media.
But the true secret of our success has been the people: our clients and candidates have developed long relationships. Our staff has tenure that range from 5 years to 20. We’re stable, we’re subject experts on the industry and we are proud of our reputation as professionals, who simply do search ‘right’.
The country is currently going through a period of divisiveness over the political climate. The rancor and coarse language has affected nearly everyone personally, and in some cases, professionally. And yet… we enter our annual holiday season; where we begin with the tradition of giving thanks.
Giving thanks is refreshingly simple, and honest. It’s a wonderful time for us to thank everyone in our network; for trusting us with your business, or assisting us in meeting talented people, or giving us insights into market trends.
We are proud of 20 years of service to the industry we thank every one of you for your support.
We’re excited to continue for the next 20 years as we assist in the next generational transition.
