I am partnering with a multifaceted Electrical Contractor located in West Central, Michigan. The company is highly respective and viewed as experts in the trade, providing electrical construction services in an array of markets nationwide, including industrial, health care, educational, food processing, commercial, and senior living markets.

We are seeking a Construction Foreman to join the growing organization.

Pay range $66,500 – $87,350 and may be higher for the right fit candidate. This role is eligible for a bonus and car allowance as well as company cell phone and tool allowance.

The Construction Foreman will plan, supervise, and perform commercial and industrial electrical installations. You will be servicing the Midwest Region in industrial and commercial electrical as well as low voltage construction projects.

  • Achieve productivity objectives by effectively supervising and assigning tasks to crew members.
  • Fully utilize prefabrication and company-wide installation methods and policies.
  • Ensure and maintain the proper safety equipment, materials, tools, and methods to perform required work.
  • Utilize a proactive and customer service approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals including general contractors, management, and crew members.
  • Ensure all work performed meets NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes.
  • Establish and adjust work timelines to meet construction schedule for the project. Organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment.
  • Promote, support, and facilitate teamwork between all crew members.
  • Maintain a safe work site by instructing crew how to use tools and equipment.
  • Complete and submit required daily forms and reports as well as weekly safety meetings.
  • Develop and communicate the workforce levels necessary to complete successfully.
  • Hold crew accountable for meeting daily goals, production standards, and quality.
  • Plans work activities in advance so materials and resources are available to perform installation efficiently. Effectively communicates plan to crew and sets goals to ensure successful completion.


If this is you, let’s talk!:

  • State of Michigan Journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience.
  • OSHA 10-hour safety and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must be proficient with Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of the current National Electrical Code
  • Ability to install feeder and branch conduit and wiring such as: EMT, IMC, Rigid, PVC, PVC Coated Rigid – bend, cut and thread – all sizes and types.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical components such as transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
  • Ability to install electrical systems such as switchgear, motor control centers, electrical panels, fire alarm, conveyor, lighting, and power systems.
  • Ability to install electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters or voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Ability to read blueprints including: MEP drawings and specs, architectural drawing and specs (including front ends), schematics, plan details, wiring diagrams and submittals.
  • Ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a failure and correct the problem.
