A custom lighting fixture manufacturer in the Chicagoland area is continuing to expand and looking to hire a Design Engineer with 2 – 3 years of experience in the lighting industry. You’ll be doing shop drawings, new product development, working with the production team to get extra parts made, etc. It’s primarily sheet metal and extrusion work. You’ll be working SolidWorks. This is a great company to work for, they aren’t “corporate”, there’s no micromanaging and they have a great sense of community. Their projects are corporate buildings on city skylines, and they do custom work so it’s not the same thing every day. The contractors love to work with them because their products are very easy to install.
