I am representing one of the largest Electrical Distributors focused on providing industry leading service, integrity, and reliability to their customers. With one of the largest national footprints, the organization has successfully maintained a “local” approach with each of its over 700 locations operating like its own small business.

We are seeking a Purchasing Agent in the Washington D.C. area.

You will be responsible for sourcing goods and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic, high-quality, and cost-effective procurement activities across multiple suppliers and business facets. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and negotiate effectively to maintain relationships with customers and vendors. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring optimal turns, eliminating aged inventory, and keeping up with the market demand for new products.

Organizational skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in managing large projects for our customers and retrieving the correct material for the job.
