Pati is looking for a Sales Manager based in Illinois to call on the utility market. The Sales Manager will be responsible for building customer relationships and driving profitable sales growth with Direct Utilities (IOUs), Public Power, EPCs, Power Integrators and the Distribution Sales channels within their territory. While reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing their sales territory and working closely with the outside-agent sales force to drive sales from our portfolio of wire & cable products, services and engineered solutions and advance the business objectives identified within utility business unit and multi-year growth initiatives.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop customer targets and a plan to execute sales goals via the agent sales force or direct.
  • Build effective customer relationships with Engineering Firms, Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Public Power, Energy Developers, Power Integrators, and Distribution Partners within the assigned sales territory.
  • Provide market intelligence as necessary to position Cable company for growth and profit opportunities, including but not limited to, assessing market/region size and share held by our competition to facilitate alignment for growth.
  • Identify sales opportunities to “Drive Mix” with new customers, products, and services.
  • Effectively track and maintain project opportunities and success.
  • Maintain Monthly and Quarterly sales reports / sales funnel to internal leadership as well as agent network.
  • Proactively manage all aspects of territory monthly P&L and account receivables in support of business objectives.
  • Create a solution driven, leadership persona both internally and externally while collaborating with other functions within the corporation and customer organizations.
