I am partnering with a multifaceted Electrical Contractor located in West Central, Michigan. The company is highly respective and viewed as experts in the trade, providing electrical construction services in an array of markets nationwide, including industrial, health care, educational, food processing, commercial, and senior living markets.

We are seeking a Service Electrician to join the growing organization.

Pay range $72,800 – $93,600 and may be higher for the right fit candidate.

The Service Electrician will install and repair electrical systems in both industrial and commercial settings. You will service the Midwest Region in industrial, commercial, and institutional electrical and low voltage construction projects.

  • Installing feeder and branch conduit and wiring such as: EMT, IMC, Rigid, PVC, PVC Coated Rigid – bend, cut and thread – all sizes, all types.
  • Troubleshooting electrical components, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor control centers, electrical panels, fire alarm, conveyor, lighting, and power systems.
  • Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters or voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Blueprint reading including: MEP drawings and specs; architectural drawing and specs (including front ends); schematics, plan details, wiring diagrams and submittals.
  • Install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Requisition material, equipment and supplies directly from purchasing for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete necessary installation and/or repair.

Preferred additional abilities:

  • Terminate and test high voltage equipment above 600 volts.
  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment.

If this is you, let’s talk!:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • State of Michigan Journeyman license with a minimum of 5 Years of electrical experience.
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification preferred.
  • Must have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical control systems, machine components, electronic circuits, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, technical repair manuals, prints, and specifications and use the information for the expedient repair of equipment.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and highly productive.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
