Position Summary

Manufacturing success is never the result of one great day. It comes from creating disciplined processes, building strong teams, and executing consistently every single shift. The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading all manufacturing operations while creating an environment where safety, accountability, quality, and customer satisfaction drive every decision.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this individual will serve as the operational leader for the facility, overseeing production, assembly, scheduling, and shop floor performance while partnering closely with engineering, sales, and leadership teams located throughout the organization. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems alongside their team, and developing people while continuously improving the operation.

What You Will Be Responsible For

You will provide leadership for all day to day manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are achieved while maintaining exceptional standards for safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery. You will own the execution of the master production schedule, balancing production capacity with customer demand while identifying opportunities to improve throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and increase operational efficiency.

Leading and developing people will be one of your highest priorities. You will coach supervisors, team leads, and production personnel while building a culture rooted in accountability, ownership, consistency, and continuous improvement. You will establish expectations, recognize strong performance, address challenges directly, and create an environment where employees are motivated to perform at their highest level.

Safety will remain at the center of every operation. You will champion a zero incident culture by ensuring OSHA compliance, reinforcing safe work practices, maintaining shop floor discipline, and demonstrating through your own actions that nothing is more important than sending every employee home safely at the end of each day.

Quality is equally critical. Working alongside engineering and manufacturing teams, you will identify process improvements, eliminate recurring production issues, and ensure products consistently meet customer expectations while minimizing defects, rework, and quality escapes.

Operational performance will be measured through meaningful metrics. You will monitor key performance indicators including on time delivery, labor efficiency, overtime, productivity, safety, and quality while implementing corrective actions that produce measurable, sustainable improvements. Your ability to transform data into action will directly influence the overall success of the facility.

This position also requires close collaboration across multiple departments and locations. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and executive leadership while strengthening communication and operational alignment between the Oklahoma manufacturing operation and the New Jersey headquarters. As the business continues to evolve, your leadership will help ensure consistent execution across the organization.

Ideal Fit

We are seeking a proven manufacturing leader who brings at least ten years of manufacturing experience, including a minimum of eight years leading plant operations or senior manufacturing organizations. Experience within low voltage switchgear manufacturing or closely related electrical equipment manufacturing is essential for success in this role.

You understand complex manufacturing environments where engineered products, production scheduling, assembly operations, and customer expectations all intersect. You have successfully driven improvements in safety, on time delivery, quality, labor efficiency, and overall plant performance while building highly engaged manufacturing teams.

You are a visible leader who spends time on the production floor rather than behind a desk. Your leadership style is built on communication, accountability, coaching, and trust. People know where they stand because you establish clear expectations and provide the support necessary for success.

Experience within engineered to order manufacturing environments will be highly valued, along with familiarity with UL, NEC, and NEMA standards. Lean manufacturing experience, continuous improvement initiatives, and previous success working within a family-owned manufacturing organization will position you for immediate impact.
