This is a rare opportunity to become the founding Supply Chain & Logistics leader for a brand-new cable manufacturing facility. You’ll have the opportunity to design, implement, and lead every aspect of the supply chain—from strategic sourcing of raw materials through production planning, warehousing, logistics, and customer delivery. This is joining a $1B global electrical component manufacturer who is building a new low voltage wire & cable plant.

What You’ll Do
As Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you will build and lead the complete supply chain organization, including:
- Develop and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy for a new manufacturing operation.
- Build procurement processes, purchasing systems, SOPs, and approval workflows.
- Establish a reliable supplier network for key raw materials including copper rod, stranded copper, PVC, PE, and other cable manufacturing materials.
- Negotiate long-term supplier agreements that balance cost, quality, delivery, and commodity price risk.
- Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance management programs.
- Implement ERP/MRP procurement and planning modules while developing material and vendor master data.
- Develop demand planning, material planning, inventory management, and production scheduling processes.
- Build warehouse operations, inventory controls, shipping, and logistics functions.
- Create customer service processes supporting order management, shipment scheduling, expediting, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies through multi-source supply networks to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, and operations to support a successful plant launch and future growth.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations leadership within manufacturing.
- Experience launching a greenfield facility, startup operation, or major plant expansion preferred.
- Strong background in cable, wire & cable manufacturing, copper products, plastics, extrusion, wire drawing, or related manufacturing industries.
- Deep knowledge of procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Demonstrated success negotiating high-value commodity contracts.
- Experience implementing or leading ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Advaris, or similar.
- Proven ability to build teams, processes, and scalable systems in fast-moving environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline; CPSM, CPP, APICS/ASCM, or similar certifications are a plus.
