US Sales Director / Transformers – Remote – 5628
Egret Consulting
I am partnering with a globally recognized transformer manufacturer that is launching their introduction into the United States market. We are looking for an entrepreneurial sales leader who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up. This is not a role where you inherit a mature territory, manage an existing team, or spend your days protecting market share. This is a chance to help write the story.
For more than four decades, the company has built a reputation as one of the most respected transformer producers in the world, serving utility, industrial, renewable energy, infrastructure, and heavy manufacturing customers across dozens of countries. Their products are operating in some of the most demanding power systems on the planet, and their engineering capabilities rival anyone in the industry.
Now the focus shifts to the United States.
We are seeking a US Sales Director who can establish market presence, create customer relationships, build sales channels (rep networks and distributors), and ultimately help develop a long term foundation for a major manufacturing operation in North America.
The opportunity is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Success in this role will require a unique combination of strategic vision and tactical execution. One day you may be meeting with utility executives to discuss large power transformer opportunities. The next day you may be recruiting independent representatives, evaluating distribution partnerships, or developing market entry strategies for industrial and commercial customers.
The mission is straightforward. Build the business. Develop direct relationships with electric utilities. Create and expand opportunities within commercial and industrial markets. Establish a high performing representative network. Develop distributor partnerships where they create value. Position the organization for sustained growth across the United States.
Over time, this role will play a critical part in helping establish domestic manufacturing operations. The person who succeeds here will not simply be generating revenue. They will be helping shape the future structure, footprint, and leadership of the business in North America.
We are looking for someone who understands the electrical power industry, knows how decisions are made inside utilities and large industrial organizations, and has a track record of opening doors where none previously existed. Experience selling transformers, power equipment, electrical infrastructure products, or related solutions is highly desirable.
Just as important is the mindset.
We want someone who sees possibility where others see obstacles. Someone who gets excited about building rather than maintaining. Someone who understands that the greatest rewards often come from creating something that did not exist before.
Compensation reflects both the scale of the opportunity and the expectations attached to it.
Base salary will range from $200k to $250k and can go higher for the right fit, accompanied by a highly competitive incentive program tied directly to business growth and key milestones. An ESOP program is included, and there is potential for meaningful equity participation within the US organization.
The upside is significant.
As major commercial objectives are achieved, including market expansion, channel development, revenue growth, and progress toward establishing US manufacturing capabilities, additional incentives will be available. The organization is committed to rewarding the people who help create its success.
If you have ever wanted to join a world class manufacturer at the exact moment it enters the largest electrical market in the world, this may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
The foundation is already built. The products are proven. The global reputation is established.
Now it is time to build the US business.
