Operations Leader – Power Transformers – Gulf Coast Region

I am partnering with an industry leading manufacturer of power transformer products.

We are looking for a Senior Operations Leader to step into a critical second in command position at a flagship manufacturing site in the Gulf Coast Region. This individual will have full ownership of production across three core product lines. If you enjoy complexity, scale, and accountability, this is the kind of role where you can leave a mark.

You will be the connective tissue across the entire operation. Leading multiple layers of leadership, driving alignment across product lines, and ensuring the voice of operations is clearly represented at the highest levels of the organization. This role sits directly under the Site Director and plays a key part in how the plant performs, communicates, and executes.

Day to day, you are leading leaders. You will oversee salaried management teams responsible for production floor activity across all three lines, ultimately supporting a workforce of over 500 hourly employees and 15 to 20 salaried professionals. This is a large, complex environment where presence, credibility, and decisiveness matter.

Beyond execution, this role is about driving the business forward. You will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives across the operation with a strong emphasis on Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies. This is not theoretical. The expectation is that you know how to roll up your sleeves, challenge the status quo, and move metrics in a meaningful way.

You will also serve as the bridge between the plant and executive leadership. That includes presenting performance, communicating data, participating in key meetings and calls, and ensuring stakeholders at every level have a clear understanding of what is happening on the floor and why. Strong communication skills are not optional here. They are essential.

We are targeting individuals with a proven background in heavy manufacturing environments, ideally within the transformer or broader electrical equipment space. You should bring at least 10 years of experience leading large-scale operations with similar headcount and complexity. An engineering-based mindset is important, along with a Bachelor’s degree.

The compensation package is competitive and reflective of the scope. Base salary ranges from $150 to $195k with bonus.
