Business Development Manager – Remote – 5647
Egret Consulting
This opportunity is designed for someone who thrives on creating demand where none existed before. Someone who enjoys opening doors, influencing specifications long before projects are awarded, and becoming the trusted resource customers rely on when failure simply is not an option.
My client is an industry leader whose Raceway products have earned an outstanding reputation for protecting electrical infrastructure in the harshest environments imaginable. For decades, engineers, contractors, industrial facilities, utilities, and end users have trusted their solutions because reliability is engineered into everything they manufacture. You’ll represent products with an exceptional reputation while joining an organization known for engineering excellence, financial strength, and a long history of innovation. You’ll have the freedom to think entrepreneurially while backed by the resources of a market leader committed to continued growth.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth.
Success in this role comes from creating influence early in the sales cycle. You will build relationships with consulting engineers, specifying engineers, contractors, distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, OEMs, system integrators, and industrial end users, positioning the company’s solutions before purchasing decisions are ever made.
You’ll own your territory with a high degree of autonomy while developing growth strategies, uncovering new opportunities, gathering competitive intelligence, supporting product launches, and partnering closely with inside sales to convert opportunities into business. Your voice will also matter internally, providing market insight that helps shape future products and commercial strategy.
The right person knows business development is about far more than making sales calls. You understand how projects move from concept to specification to purchase. You recognize market trends, build credibility with technical decision makers, and are just as comfortable walking a jobsite as you are presenting to engineers or leading product discussions.
We’re looking for someone with a successful track record selling technical products within the industrial or electrical marketplace. Experience working with distributors, contractors, engineers, manufacturers’ representatives, utilities, OEMs, or industrial end users will position you for success.
You should be comfortable interpreting technical drawings and specifications, managing opportunities through a CRM, and balancing long term strategy with daily execution. Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, sound business judgment, and the ability to earn trust are every bit as important as your technical knowledge.
This position requires approximately 60 percent travel, putting you where business is built: in front of customers. This is a fully remote position. You should be located near a major airport. Focus is not geographical, rather project driven.
If you enjoy winning through technical credibility, influencing projects before competitors even know they exist, and building relationships that create lasting business, this could be the opportunity that defines the next chapter of your career.
If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’ve been waiting for, I’d welcome the opportunity to have a confidential conversation.
